we had a wonderful stay at the apple inn. the staff were outstanding, especially claire, who helped us replace our flat tyre with such compassion. the food was top-notch for both breakfast and dinner. it's conveniently close to the school house restaurant, making dining options easy. the recent extension adds an extra charm to the place.

Perfect for families!
We had an awesome stay! The D’arcy room was super spacious for us, even had 2 TVs for the kids. Everything was clean and tidy. We loved the tea and coffee setup in the room. Breakfast in the school house was something else, really tasty! Only bummer was the parking. it got a bit crowded sometimes.

Had an awesome time with my friends! We visited Bamburgh Castle and enjoyed walks with our dogs. The shepherd's hut was clean and cozy. The cooked breakfast was a treat. Staff were super friendly and even provided evening entertainment. Perfect spot for a fun getaway.
The blinds on the doors were a bit fiddly, making it a hassle to open and close them. Not a big deal though.

The Shepherd’s Hut provided an amazing view of the wood and stream, and it was fully equipped. The dinner at the inn was superb, featuring delightful sourdough bread, and the breakfast at the School House was outstanding, with perfectly cooked Florentine Benedict. managing the dog-friendly policy can be a challenge in shared dining spaces. the location, while beautiful, may require a car for nearby attractions. Service was courteous yet could be more attentive during busy periods.

We had a fantastic time in the spacious and spotless deluxe suite, and the comfy bed was just what we needed. Relaxing in the spa with a soothing massage and foot treatment was the cherry on top. Just keep in mind there’s a bit of noise from the bar area at times, but it didn't ruin our experience. 😊
